How to get better mileage from your Toyota Wigo

The Toyota Wigo is being marketed as an econobox. However a whole series of reviews painted a different picture particularly during city driving. Some accounts have the Wigo delivering a rather thirsty 8 kilometers per liter. To put this number in perspective, I have a 1st generation Honda CR-V with a 2.0 liter gas engine and real time 4 wheel drive and this vehicle gets 6 to 7 km per liter in city driving. While this in itself is quite disconcerting considering the huge difference in vehicle size and spaciousness, its my 1990 Nissan Patrol that puts the Wigo's numbers to shame.
